In the footsteps of the Giacometti family
Getting to know the life and works of the Giacomettis
This is a proposal that allows, walking in nature, to know the authentic environments and works, nationally and internationally renowned, related to the 3 most famous members of the family Giacometti, who worked in the valley between 1888 and 1956. The route starts in Borgonovo and ends in Stampa. Visiting significant places such as the homes of the artists' families, the atelier, childhood playgrounds and school buildings, the places chosen by the artists to create hundreds of works, the churches with the works of Augusto and the cemetery, where all the personalities of the Giacometti family found their last resting place together with their fellow citizens.
