5th ARTipasto 2021

With ARTipasto Bregaglia begins the spring season.
The 5th edition will take place on the first weekend of April and if circumstances permit it, art lovers will be able to meet again in person to get a taste of the cultural offer during summer in Val Bregaglia.
The "KulturGasthaus Pontisella" opens the 5th edition of ARTipasto, gives a foretaste of the summer program 2021 and presents the publication "RITROVATO" - a story of high literary and artistic level, told by fourteen writers during the lockdown of last spring and illustrated by Rolf Bienentreu. In Maloja, Dora Lardelli, art historian, will accompany us on a walk from the Segantini studio to the Belvedere Tower.Saturday morning the protagonist is Castasegna: Luciano Fasciati will present the artistic project that will animate the "sala viaggiatori" (old customs house) and the "Galleria il Salice“ open its doors. Friday- and Saturdayevening two films dedicated to two important female figures will be shown: Jane Grey - Queen of England for nine days and pupil of Michel Agnolo Florio, and Elvezia Michel - a painter of the early twentieth century. On Easter Sunday Marco Giacometti, president of the Centro Giacometti, will lead us from Borgonovo to Stampa where the birthplaces of the artists of the Giacometti family can be visited. The walk will conclude with a look at to the "Occhi che non dormono", a sculpture by the Portuguese artist Rui Chafes.
This year the Biennale Bregaglia will close the ARTipasto 2021 edition with the official delivery of Roman Signer's work "Installation am Turm" to the Municipality of Bregaglia.
All activities take place up to a maximum of 15 people and wherever possible, outdoors. A face mask has to be worn and the required distance of 1.5 m must be maintained.
