Decuraziun in Bargaia

3rd Edition

How the people of Bregaglia beautify their villages

We would like to thank all 352 people who voted for the decorations and the three groups for their ideas and the very beautiful realisation of the decorations. Everyone has done a great job and we thank them for their commitment and contributions.

The group Cad'Farett in allegria has received the most votes and wins the 3rd edition of Decuraziun in Bargaia.
If you haven't seen the projects yet, we invite you all to drop by Maloja, Ca d'Farett and Stampa in the coming weeks, it's worth a visit.

Ca d' Farett Train

Recycled terracotta pots, lots of colorful flowers, wood from our woods and a lot of desire to create something beautiful together: this is what we needed to create our "Decuraziun in Bargaia". The village of Ca d'Farett can now be visited by following the journey of the little train led by a clay train conductor. At the four stations there are other lively passengers waiting for the flower train to arrive. Get on, too, and take a ride with us to discover the little village of Ca d'Farett!

Bar Brona

The "Bar Brona" project was born from the idea of revaluing and thus giving importance to the fountains of our villages, giving them a touch of originality, color and joy. The fountains were protagonists in the past as a meeting point and thus a point of socialization among the villagers: women chatting and doing laundry, passers-by refreshing themselves and children playing happily around them. Nowadays this scenario has unfortunately been somehow lost. Therefore, Team Brona invites you to take a dip into the past, observing the fountains "dressed up", making a simple toast with good water and syrups, but above all invites all passers-by to make a stop and a tour inside the beautiful small villages that have a lot to talk about!

Maloja Inn-Schiff-Fahrt

We embellished a boat with a cascade of bright, fragrant flowers. The delicate petals entwine like a dance on its surface, creating a beauty of colours and sensations. It enchants the eyes of anyone who observes it. On the way up to the Lunghin Pass, at an altitude of 2645 metres, is the triple watershed from which the Inn River rises. To the east, the Inn flows into the Black Sea, the Maira flows into the Adriatic Sea and the Julia flows into the North Sea. The boat in the middle of the village recalls the life of the fishermen as well as the start of the Inn River flowing out of the Lunghin Pass and on to distant countries. Like the constantly flowing river, the boat also symbolises the flow of life and the passage of time.
