Stampa and Bregaglia, are the home of the Giacometti family's personalities. Without a doubt, stays in cities such as Paris, Zurich, Geneva, Munich or Florence and exchanges with the world's intellectuals were essential. But in this valley the artists' imagination was born; in Bregaglia the artists have created numerous works. They often returned here and maintained contact with the local people with whom they grew up.

The Giacometti Center is a professionally run information, documentation and cultural center on the work of the Giacometti family of artists in the Bergell Valley. At the same time, the Center organizes high quality and didactically valuable exhibitions in buildings and outdoors, and develops thematic paths. In this way, the foundation pursues a comprehensive, in-depth and interdisciplinary approach to the life and works of the personalities of the Giacometti family. The foundation promotes the understanding of their work in relation to the Val Bregaglia.
