Boulder Park Stampa
Welcome to the Pé d’Maira boulder park!
It includes more than 30 huge blocks of Bergell granite with approximately 200 climbing problems for beginners and advanced climbers.
The rocks are scattered in beautiful nature by the river Maira. Thanks to the picnic area with a fire pit, it is also very suitable for a day trip with the family.
The blocks are made of the best granite with a high proportion of feldspar, which makes it coarse with maximum grip.
Until the middle of the last century, the area was cultivated by farmers and the rocks were used by local climbers from the valley training with nail shoes and hemp ropes for the big climbs in Val Bondasca and Albigna.
Since 2007 the boulder park has been run by the community and members of the SAC section Bregaglia. Since then the area is maintained, the grass cut and the rocks cleared of moss on a regular basis.
Some blocks are still waiting to be discovered.
Equipment
The equipment (climbing shoes and crash pads) can be reserved and borrowed for a deposit of CHF 50 in Stampa at the B&B Pontisella cultural inn.

Boulder Park Albigna
Until 2014 almost nobody took advantages of the various boulders around the Capanna da l'Albigna. The sheds Annamaria and Martin, both passionate climbers, had little time for long routes and so they gradually discovered the bouldering potential of the place.
Thanks to the bouldering festivals of the years 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 several other sites in the immediate vicinity developed. There are 4 areas with about 50 boulders and almost 100 bouldering problems already climbed from level 5a up to 7b+/7c. The area is still in the process of development - so there is still a vast field to discover.
The boulder mat can be rented at the hut.
