Location: Plazza, 2 km before Soglio
In 2020, the dried chestnut of Bregaglia was added to the Slow Food's Ark of Taste. Today, only a few chestnut farmers continue to dry chestnuts using traditional methods.
We will visit one of these dedicated farming couples and their drying house, hear their stories, and, weather permitting, enjoy brascher (roasted chestnuts) prepared over an open fire.
Venue Plazza Chestnut Grove
Meeting point 10:45 at the Plazza post bus stop, 2 km from Soglio (on the Promontogno-Soglio line). There is no parking available at Plazza, so please arrive on foot or by bus.
