Biennale Bregaglia – 2022
The Biennale Bregaglia 2022 is dedicated to the connection of the Bregaglia 's villages. The setting for the 2nd edition of the Bregaglia Biennale is the village of Vicosoprano, located in the middle of the valley. The former capital of Bregaglia with its infrastructure is still supply center of the valley. In Vicosoprano, artists find numerous points of reference to reflect the peculiarities of everyday life and history in Bregaglia.
The Biennale Bregaglia 2022 is curated by the two art historians Bigna Guyer and Anna Vetsch. The curatorial duo is particularly interested in questions of site-specificity, the interconnection of art with everyday life, and mediation.
Guyer is curator of Canton Zurich's art collection and is currently working on a thesis project on contemporary sculptural practice. Vetsch is a freelance curator, co-initiator of stadtprojektionen in St. Gallen and art specialist at Mobiliar Insurance . Art historian Lisa Gianotti is the assistant to the two curators.
