Location: Löbbia power station

The stored water from the Albigna reservoir reaches the Löbbia power station via a pressurised pipeline.

The pressure of the water keeps the generators running via turbines, which produce electricity for Bergell and the city of Zurich. Storage pumps help to fill the Albigna reservoir in the summer months. In winter, this water is used again to produce electricity.
